Il Camping Le ginestre del Catria ha una sua storia.

Costruito negli anni '80, è stato attivo per qualche anno tra il '91 e il '94, quando è stato chiuso dalla cooperativa "Forestalp" di Ancona che l'aveva in gestione, dopodiché è rimasto abbandonato ed in balia di vandali ed intemperie per tanto, troppo tempo.

Io e mio marito (Ester e Marco, piacere!), siamo arrivati a Cantiano nel 2009, in cerca di un posto bello e tranquillo dove vivere e possibilmente di un'alternativa piacevole ai nostri posti da impiegati a Fano.

Tramite il nostro vecchio amico Marco Rosati (innamorato della sua Cantiano e promotore delle bellezze del territorio) venimmo a sapere che a Chiaserna c'era questa bella struttura che purtroppo stava morendo neanche troppo pian piano, provammo ad avanzare timide richieste di gestione alle autorità competenti ma i tempi non erano maturi, incombevano le elezioni e l'Amministrazione comunale di allora non ritenne il progetto fattibile.

Il caso ha voluto che gli eventi abbiano mutato il loro corso alla fine del 2010 quando, forti già dell'esperienza di gestione dell'area di sosta camper di Scheggia, ci siamo rifatti avanti con maggiore decisione e abbiamo presentato un progetto ambizioso: ridare vita al campeggio!

Nonostante i tempi burocratici e il meteo che ha provato in tutti i modi a metterci i bastoni tra le ruote, grazie all'incoraggiamento e all'aiuto reale e collaborativo dei chiasernesi, ma soprattutto alla forza delle possenti braccia di Marco ed infine alla nostra tenacia, stiamo cambiando la faccia di questa porzione di collina rendendola accogliente per i visitatori che vorranno sceglierla per ritemprarsi un po' nella natura!

Here is the history of Camping Le ginestre del Catria.

Built up in the '80s, it was open for a period of three years between '91 and '94 managed by a cooperative from Ancona, "Forestalp". Then it has been completely abandoned for a long long time.

My husband and me (Marco and Ester, nice to meet you!) arrived to Cantiano in 2009, looking for a nice and quite place to live in and even, maybe, possibly work in.

Our old friend Marco Rosati ( a man in love with his beautiful town and promoter of his territory) told us about this place which was going down and down.

We tried, unsuccessfully, to get the permission to have this camping site. Maybe it was not the right moment: the elections were coming and the local government was not on our side.

The change happened during the end of 2010. Last year we opened an area for campers in a town not far from here, Scheggia, so we were stronger and with more experience when we explained our projects to the Mayor and actually we succeeded.

Although burocracy and weather tried in any way to stop us, thanks to the encouragements and the real help from Chiaserna people, but mostly to the power of Marco's arms and our tenacity, we are now finally changing the appearance of this hill, making it comfortable for those who will choose it to get some relax in nature!
